Lactobacillus Ferment (Probiotic)

The skin has its very own microbiome of bacterial organisms on its surface, which protect against pathogens. A thriving skin microbiota populated by beneficial bacteria means healthy, resilient skin that is resistant to environmental damage. We have included the science-backed strain of Lactobacillus probiotic to effectively support the skin’s microbiome, restore optimal skin pH and help you maintain a healthy, radiant and resilient complexion. Our Lactobacillius Ferment has been proven to be incredibly soothing and protective, as well as being highly beneficial for dry skin. An in-vivo study showed significantly improved skin barrier integrity and skin moisture levels from 7 days to 42 days of topical application, visibly reducing the appearance of skin dryness.

Seaweed

A true botanical hero from the sea! It contains a high-purity fucoidan extract and is rich in marine polyphenols, developed specifically to provide high-tech age-defying benefits. Derived from Undaria pinnatifida species of seaweed, this unique and 100% natural ingredient has been shown to inhibit many of the key enzymes responsible for skin damage. In vitro studies have confirmed that this seaweed inhibits enzymes that lead to wrinkles and reduced skin elasticity, making it an incredibly powerful natural age-defying ingredient. Results showed that Seaweed Extract was able to improve skin’s overall appearance by 60% in just 12 weeks.

Ceramide

Ceramides are lipids (fats) that occur naturally in skin and are responsible for over half of the skin’s composition. Ceramides act as a water modulator and a permeability barrier by forming multi-layered structures with other lipids between cells. You can think of skin cells as the bricks and ceramides as the mortar that holds them together. They play an important role in protecting the skin against environmental threats and are incredibly age-defying as a topical ingredient. As you age, the quality and quantity of ceramides decreases, which can lead to dry skin, fine lines, wrinkles and irritation. Including the ingredient Ceramide in your skincare regime replenishes these levels to naturally assist your skin in acting and appearing like supple, firm, youthful skin.

Squalane 

This substance is present in your skin in the form of fat produced by oil glands. It prevents moisture loss while restoring skin’s suppleness and flexibility. With time, squalene concentrations reduce, which can result in lacklustre and saggy skin. We use a vegan form of Squalane derived from olive oil to mimic that naturally found in human skin, bringing with it a surge of protective, restorative and age-defying actions.
